The holdings of Espaço Atlântida, of which the library of Alberto Manguel constitutes the nucleus, consists predominantly of literature and non-fiction in the arts and humanities.
Areas of special note include modern literature in English, French, and Spanish, with smaller groups in several other languages, among them German, Italian and Portuguese.
